Do you know? Stroke remains the second-leading cause of death and the third-leading cause of death and disability combined. 80 million people are suffering from Stroke worldwide with almost 15 million have been newly diagnosed each year. Worldwide it accounts for nearly 6.5 million deaths annually (30,000 of these found in Thailand per year) and 60% of them are untimely deaths.

Globally, 1 in 4 adults over the age of 25 will have a stroke in their lifetime. Among this group of the world population, 80% of them are having preventable risks, namely hypertension, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, high blood cholesterol or smoking for instance.
